Richard Boissonneault is a lifelong resident of Sturgeon County and a proud fifth-generation family farm and business owner. His family farm, established in 1891—before the County or even the Province existed—has given him a deep appreciation for the region’s history, culture, and the importance of long-term planning for future generations.

Richard has been happily married to his wife, Chantal, since 1996 and together they are raising three children: Ivy, Zoe, and Ella As the owner and operator of Boissonneault Farms, including the Strawberry U-Pick, Mentor Group of Companies Ltd., and Bug Order Inc., Richard is a familiar face throughout the community. He is known for his strong work ethic, innovative spirit, and unwavering commitment to helping others succeed in both business and life.

Richard believes in collaboration and building common goals together. As a councillor, he will bring the same dedication and passion he has shown in his businesses, prioritizing practical progress while respecting Sturgeon County’s heritage and values. He understands that change is inevitable, but thoughtful, well-planned progress ensures a stronger community for future generations.

Beyond his business leadership, Richard is passionate about agriculture, horticulture, and community life. He takes pride in raising ponies, growing tiger lilies, and cultivating many other flowers—pursuits that reflect his appreciation for the land and the culture of Sturgeon County.
